Learn from Other Successful Online Business

Hi everybody,

I just got done my interview with Kay Green from www.MyPreciousKid.com on my Blog Talk Radio show and let me tell you she gave some really great advice.  When you get a chance listen in on the interview.

Kay has been in business online for over 8 years and she really shared alot today about her challenges and success in building that business.

She shared how she went from 3 orders a week to about 50 orders a day over a period of time by adding different marketing strategies into her business and staying consistent with the ones that work.  If you could take just a little bit from her advice and apply it into your online business just think of the difference that could make to your bottom line.

I also came across a video today that I wanted to share with you on Lynn Terry’s blog–this video really struck a cord with me because it really summed up what it’s like to build a business online and to do it around your passion.  As a woman in business myself building my business around my passion–(which is helping other moms learn to build a business online so they can work from home and have the awesome experience of raising their kids and bringing in an income with a successful business—wow that was a mouth full!!) this video was right on target.  It really shows why I can’t recommend Lynn Terry’s Elite Group enough—this video just gives you a peek inside what Lynn’s forum has to offer–she really is a great mentor to follow.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Tips from an Experinced Online Store Owner

Hi guys!  I just wanted to give you a heads up about the interview I will be conducting tomorrow with Kay Green the owner of www.MyPreciousKid.com on my BlogTalkRadio Show.

This interview is part of the series teaching how to start an online store and you won’t want to miss it.

Kay has had an online store since 2001 and has had some great success.  I always love it when successful people are willing to share their tips and advice because I think we can all learn so much that way.  They say the best way to become successful is to find someone already being successful at what you want to do and learn everything you can from them and then repeat it in your own way.  Don’t try and reinvent the wheel–learn what works and then take action and use it.

So don’t forget to listen in tomorrow at 12:00 noon–she will be sharing some great advice on how to market your website and get some great exposure for your online business speaking from her experience of working online for 8 years.

So since we are on the subject of learning from great mentors–I also wanted to share with you another great place and person that I have learned a lot from recently.  Her name is Lynn Terry and she is so generous with her knowledge and experience–I just recently joined Lynn Terry’s Elite Club and have honestly learned more in two weeks of being a member then I had all year.  This membership is such a steal for what is offered there–I can’t rave about it enough.  The forum is filled with other like-minded extremely helpful individuals and believe me you can’t go wrong–make sure you check it out if you want to learn as much as you can about building a business online and still stay on a reasonable budget while doing it.

Here is an interview with Lynn Terry and Nicole Dean that can give you some great insight about Lynn and what her knowledge is.

Have an awesome day!

Tips to Starting an Online Store

Since I just launched my new course StartAnOnlineStore.com I thought I would give you a few tips today on getting started.  If you are thinking of starting a home based business starting an online store is a great option.  It is fairly inexpensive to do and with my step by step training you will really have a good foundation for your business to start out right.

When you decide to start an online store, you may feel overwhelmed. You may worry that it is going to be a lot of work and it will cost a lot, but do not despair. When you choose to start an online store, there are several things you can do to make it a success.

  1. When you choose a web host company, find one that gives you the most bang for your buck. This does not mean going with the cheapest of the web hosting companies. It means you want a web host company that gives you ecommerce solutions, website design software and even marketing as part of your monthly payment. Generally, you should be paying $50 and under.
  2. Make sure that what you sell is something that you can get for a cheap rate from multiple suppliers. You want to pass on the savings to your customers, and if one supplier goes out of business you want to keep the prices the same with a backup supplier.
  3. Lastly, research what other online stores are doing so that you can make sure you do what the successful ones do, and avoid what the unsuccessful ones do.

These are just a few tips for further tips to starting an online store, visit Startanonlinestore.com and get a copy of my FREE report “Top Ten Things To Know About Running An Ecommerce Store”.

And don’t forget about the broadcast next Friday at 12:00 on Blog Talk Radio for my interview with Carla Phillips from MySEOGal — she will be sharing some great tips on setting up your store the right way in regards to SEO.
