Happy Monday! Today is the day that Hurricane Sandy is making landfall directly over my house … a little scary to say the least. The winds are howling and the rain is pouring! Living in the Mid Atlantic we are used to storms but not normally storms of this magnitude this far up the coast … so this is a first for me. I am writing this post early this morning because we are not sure how long we will have power and once we lose it when it will come back on … so being ahead of the storm is always your best bet when the unknown is pending. We have spent days preparing and now all we can do is hope an pray it was enough to keep us safe.

As with anything in life … including your business preparation is key. Life brings unknowns on a daily basis … That’s life … and that’s the beauty of it … but to get through things smoothly preparation is always the key to staying steady and strong through any kind of storm. The big difference with preparing for a storm and being prepared in your business is that a storm is unpredictable … sometimes all of the preparation in the world won’t help if mother nature decides to do what it wants. It is a force you can’t control and sometimes it’s just better to get out of it’s way. But in business … if you want to be successful and you want to survive through the storms like bad economies … getting out of the way is not an option.
Daily preparation and action is the key to staying steady and strong in business … when things get tough you need to keep moving forward, keep taking action, keep finding new ways to get your business out in front of your target customer, and keep moving forward towards your goals.

So from this day forward plan to be prepared for whatever comes your way in your business … plan to stay steady and strong by deciding to take some sort of Action everyday towards your goals. Plan your business strategy and take action on it ~ Believe me it will pay off!
