Social media marketing tools can make your daily efforts more efficient and effective.

I wanted to share a few with you today that I use on a daily basis to make my social media marketing easier and more effective. Here’s a quick list for you to get started with!

Hyper Alerts

This is called “the feature Facebook forgot”. This app sends you a nice quick email everyday notifying you of comments or posts that your Fans leave on your wall.  This is a great feature because without it you would have to check on your Fan Page all the time to make sure you aren’t missing any Fan interaction. You can monitor several fan pages and set up several alerts for each page.  Free and easy!

HooteSuite

HooteSuite is a social media tool with a dashboard for managing social content and engagement on multiple networks with team workflow and statistics. You can see all of your social media pages on one dashboard and manage and post content all from one central location.  Saves time and makes sure you don’t miss a thing!

Edge Rank Checker

Getting your posts seen within the newsfeed in Facebook is one of the most important factors in your Facebook marketing but it is also one of the most ignored and misunderstood.  Here is a great post by Mari Smith explaining how it works and how the Edge Rank Checker will help you with this.

Twellow

Sorta like the yellow pages for Twitter.  Easily find your ideal target person to follow on Twitter by searching the categories you are related to. Having a very targeted following is much more important than having a very large untargeted group…so building a targeted group will bring you much better results for your effort.

I also wanted to share a quick list of blogs I follow to keep up to date with what’s new in social media.  Keeping track of what’s new and important is a great way to stay ahead in your marketing efforts and to know what to plan for next.
