This week I am excited to share with you an interview I held with my new friend Cathy Demers. Cathy is the host of a great business resource called the “Business Success Cafe” and BusinessMasterminds.com. I was lucky enough to have some time to ask her a few questions about her business and wanted to share the interview with you so you could learn all about this awesome resource!

Tell us a little bit about your business …including the Business Success Café and Business Masterminds.com

experience of others, and keep your business growing and healthy is not specific to any
single type of business or business owner.

What does a typical Mastermind Meeting include?
While some courses and group coaching offerings use the term “mastermind” a true
mastermind includes both a brainstorming with a small group of your peers, as well as
way for you to use the focusing power of accountability: verbalizing your best next steps
as a commitment, an important goal, and having someone who holds you accountable to
taking those important next steps.

owner. Thanks to my participation in a group of other small business owners several
years ago I co-founded a successful company with only $10,000 in start-up capital,
attracted a gold-plated client list, employees and investors…and even listed the company
on the stock exchange. Not only was my company worth millions, I loved building it!
The icing on the cake was when I was recognized by my peers with several
entrepreneurial awards, including the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award
(Western Canada), the Business In Vancouver Top 40 under 40 (which I have slight
regret I no longer qualify for) and multiple Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year
nominations.
Even now, years later, I am in a mastermind group that is critical for both my continued
business success and my personal well-being and happiness. Highly successful
entrepreneurs around the globe participate in mastermind groups – because they work!
