Happy 4th of July! I hope you enjoyed your holiday! I am spending the week at the beach this week with my extended family … all 27 of us in 2 houses celebrating our nations Independence …. it has been sooo much fun! When I was little we used to do the same thing every summer with my aunts, uncles, and cousins and I have so many great memories of that from my childhood … I feel so blessed to be able to create those same type of memories for my kids and their extended family. As a mom it is so special to see those memories being made!
Family is so important to me and it is the main reason I chose to go into business for myself and work from home. Raising 4 kids is a big job and being the one to be there with them everyday for everything instead of sending them to a day care was a big driving point for me to work full force to make this business work! That's what Independence means to me! As I asked that in the title of this blog post it really made me think .. what were my goals when I started to build my business from home instead of going to work for someone else. And it all came right down to having the independence to make the choices I need to on a daily basis when it comes to my schedule, the amount of hours I decide to work every day, where I choose to work from each day, and who will be raising my kids on a day to day basis. Working for someone else was not the road I wanted to take after my kids were born because I just couldn't come to terms with leaving my 4 little babies with anybody else … I feel so blessed to be able to have the freedom to be with them each and everyday on my terms.
Now don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for all moms whether working in the home or outside of the home … we all have to do what we have to do to make our families secure financially and emotionally and that is definately different for everybody … I am just saying that for my family this was the best choice for us … and I feel so blessed that it was a choice I could make. Making this choice was not an easy one … it took a lot of sacrifice on my husbands part to be able to support us solely till my business grew enough to contribute financially … building your own business is never an overnight success (anybody who has been called an overnight success will probably tell you that overnight success took years of preparation and hard work to achieve).
But I am here to tell you that with hard work and determination it is possible … Independence and Success with your own home business is very possible … you just have to have the right tools and motivation to make it work! So in honor of this awesome holiday week of our nations Independence … if you have the goal of working from home and building your own successful business … decide today, make the decision you are going to go for it, you are going to do what it takes to make it happen, put the steps in place to start the process, and follow your dreams! It is sooo worth it! Our nation's Independence is such a privledge to have in today's world .. but it took a lot of hard work and sacrifice from our fore fathers and still does everyday from our brave military … and gaining that Independence in your own life will take the same type of hard work … but I am here to tell you it is worth it and I am here to help you take the first steps if you are ready to follow that dream!
To Your Success!
Happy Independence Day!

The Marketing Momma!
Enjoyed your blog and photo! My family goes annually to the beach. I so agree with what you wrote. I I have owned my own small business for 20+ years. Thanks for sharing!
A single mom doesn't allow for many freedoms much less adding the restrictions of a BOSS.. UGH! I took the "plunge" 10+ years ago going into business for myself and have never looked back. Difficult in the beginning? YES! Would I do it all over again?..ABSOLUTELY!
Here's to All The Brave Gals!
